Last call for good causes

Wednesday 28 November 2018

Local charities and voluntary organisations have until 17:00 on Friday (30 November) to apply for a portion of the funds from next year’s Saffery Rotary Walk.

Submissions for projects of all sizes will be considered and can be made by any locally registered charity or not for profit organisation in need of financial support for a specific initiative.

Applications for funds to cover running costs will not be considered.

Application forms can be downloaded online from the website here, and submitted via email to info@safferyrotarywalk.com. Forms can also be collected from and submitted to Saffery Champness’ office at La Tonnelle House, Les Banques, St Sampson’s. Applications must be received no later than 17:00 on Friday 30 November 2019.

Simon Milsted, Chairperson of the walk’s organising committee, said: “Last year we had over 700 walkers including a number of walkers from the UK and Jersey signed up too. The event is open to anyone, from anywhere and we hope to welcome even more walkers from off the island next year."

Next year’s Saffery Rotary Walk will take place on Saturday 15 June, 2019.

Online walker registration for the 2018 walk will soon be open, and walkers can find out more online at safferyrotarywalk.com.

This year’s Saffery Rotary Walk, sponsored by Saffery Champness, was able to distribute £61,000 between various local charities.
