KPMG Castle Nights to light up Guernsey summer

The grounds of Castle Cornet will be alive with music this summer.

Castle Cornet will play host to free, live music on Fridays from July 16 until August 6, thanks to renewed sponsorship from KPMG.

Since they were launched in 2006, the evenings at Castle Cornet have staged live music, singing, dance and poetry, becoming a fixture of the summer calendar for thousands of people.

Nikki Symons, Head of Marketing and Events for Sport and Culture, is hoping for another successful series following last year's post-lockdown celebrations.

“KPMGs sponsorship enabled us to reinstate the events quickly after lockdown so that just over 5,100 people could enjoy Castle Cornet and the wonderful music free of charge," she said.

"These events give us all something special to look forward to.”

Sponsors KPMG have committed to a further three years of funding, to enable Sport and Culture to resource the series for thousands of people to enjoy

"Last year they really embodied the spirit of Guernsey Together as we emerged from lockdown," said Neale Jehan, Senior Partner of KPMG in the Crown Dependencies.

"We are looking forward and hopeful of another series full of quality music provided by local performers across the genres.

“This sponsorship benefits thousands of people - both attendees and performers - and showcases Castle Cornet. We are proud to be able to give something back to the local community as part of our ESG commitments."
