The Ravenscroft Inter-Island Festival will see Guernsey's youth football teams take on Jersey at the track in Victoria Avenue today.

The new event will see more than 150 children take to the pitch for a "fun tournament" between 11:00 and 13:00.

The tournament has been split into two groups - Year 2 and Year 4 - and aims to provide the young players with an opportunity to play with teams they haven't come up against before, while also strengthening the relationship between Guernsey and Jersey clubs.

Ravenscroft supports the Guernsey FA's Football for Everyone Initiative and has recently launched JS Juniors in Jersey, as well as Grouville FC.
