A woman was left with minor injuries after being knocked over by a car at the traffic lights at the North Esplanade in St. Peter Port.
She was crossing the road last Wednesday afternoon when the accident happened.
A motorist's silver car hit the female pedestrian, knocking her to the ground.
The car left the scene immediately after the collision.
Police believe that other vehicles and pedestrians were in the area at the time.
They say the accident happened at about 16:15.
They are now appealing for witnesses to the accident to come forward to assist with their investigation.
