Guernsey Police want to hear from any witnesses who saw or heard a "heated argument" between a man and a woman, which led to a "physical altercation" between the pair.
It happened at around 20:45 on Thursday 27 December "somewhere along Mansell Street, St Peter Port."
No other details have been released at this time, but PC 115 Blondel would like to hear from any witnesses.
