Head unit stolen from car

Thursday 31 December 2020

Police are appealing for witnesses after a head unit was stolen from an unlocked car in St Saviour's earlier this week.

The theft is reported to have taken place between 00:30 and 10:00 on Tuesday morning while the vehicle was parked on Les Islets Estate.

Anyone with information about what happened is asked to contact Guernsey Police on 725111 or, alternatively, to contact CrimeStoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

The force is asking people not to make it easy for thieves.

"We would encourage all members of the public to check their vehicles and ensure that when parked or left for any period of time, they are locked and secure, as insecure vehicles are being targeted by thieves."
