Guernsey Mind and The List are launching a 12-month campaign with the aim of delivering a greater variety of mental health content to a wider audience.

The List is primarily online as a lifestyle website, but in the future hopes to help events such as fundraisers which contribute to meeting Guernsey Mind's operating costs. This will complement The List's digital content on mental wellbeing advice and information.

Maddy Diligent of Guernsey Mind said: “We see this new relationship as being a fantastic way for Guernsey Mind to expand their audience and further assist us in making our services as visible and as accessible as possible to the whole community.

"The List will help us highlight important and informative mental health themes through excellent articles and content and we are extremely pleased to be supported by them.”

The co-founders of The List, Stefanie Haigh and Tracey Thomson, said they noted the effects of the pandemic on islanders’ wellbeing. There has been a significant increase in mental health referrals, including to Guernsey Mind, which they said illustrated the positive work of the charity in the community.

“Through a content partnership, we hope to raise awareness of mental health issues which will touch all of our lives at some point, and help people to recognise the signs that their lifestyle may be taking them in the wrong direction,” said Ms Haigh and Ms Thomson.

“Sometimes reaching out can be the hardest part and we want to use our platform to help make mental health services more accessible and to help put the wellbeing of local people at the top of The List - pun intended."
