A Sengal Parrot remains in the care of the GSPCA, five weeks and a half weeks after it was rescued from Vazon.
The bird has been called Charlie, as this is one of the main phrases it continues to say while in the care of the GSPCA.
“The bird often says Charlie amongst other phrases so we have been calling it this instead of Vazoon which was the first name and enjoys a head tickle so has definitely been a much loved pet," said GSPCA Manager, Steve Byrne.
“We do sometimes find with birds especially that people don’t think to let us know when they lose their feathered friends.”

The parrot was rescued on 25 August and the team at the GSPCA say they are "shocked" that his owner hasn't come forward.
“We have held off with rehoming Charlie just yet, but normally with all strays if not claimed in 21 days once healthy they are put up for adoption and we do have a variety of birds currently looking for homes," continued Mr Byrne.
“We are having one last push, but if not claimed we do have a home interested in this lovely bird.”
