Every year, the island's floral aficionados celebrate those who’ve put the extra effort into making Guernsey bloom – and this year is no different with many accolades awarded this week.
The annual Floral Guernsey Awards Dinner took place Thursday night at Les Cotils.

The Royal Court snagged the prize of Best Floral Displays, whilst Herm picked up the Best Local Environment Award.
The Forest parish team picked up two awards on the night, the first being the Floral Guernsey Theme Award for their 60 years of Britain in Bloom displays, and the second was the Osie Falla Memorial Trophy, which is awarded for ‘outstanding contribution’.
Alderney’s German Hospital Bunker picked up a couple of prizes too, with Best New Project and the Heritage award, for encouraging and celebrating local history.
There were three awards for Camp de Reve in St Peters and one for Stocks Hotel in Sark. The former claimed the Conservation and Wildlife Award, the Tourism Award and 'Simply the Best', and the latter picking up the Horticulture Excellence Award.

Shell Beach Cafe in Herm, Rodley Park, St Saviour Sunday Club, and Chateau Du Village Nursing Home also picked up accolades on the night as the celebrations continued.
Ross Clarke from Queux Patio picked up the Joc Watts Trophy, which was chosen by the Floral Guernsey Council. It is awarded in memory of Mrs Watts to someone who has distinguished themselves over many years.
St Andrews picked up the Best Douzaine/Constables Office Award, whilst Juliet Martel picked up the John Homer Trophy.
The Renoir Tea Garden at Moulin Huet claimed a brand new trophy - the 'Kiosk and Beach Cafe Award' - which is sponsored by the States of Guernsey and Tourism Management Board.

Finally, the grand winner was the parish of St Saviour.
The Lady Jane Dorey Trophy was handed to Liz Pirouet-Douglas from the St Saviour Floral Group.
