Colourful goat statues that have been scattered around the island this summer will be auctioned off for charity on Thursday.
The tribe of 52 goats are up for auction to raise money for Autism Guernsey and Guernsey Adult Literacy Project.
The auction will take place on Thursday 16 September in La Fontaine Suite at St Pierre Park Hotel.
Andrew Warren, Chair of Autism Guernsey, told Express that in previous years the event has raised around £50,000 and he hopes the same will apply for 2021. The money raised on the evening will be used to help run the charities.
To allow more people to get involved, he added: “We are allowing a system of paper bids for those who can’t be there.”
Auction tickets cost £12 each and include canapes and a glass of prosecco or orange juice.
There will be a reception and viewing of all the goats at 17.00 and the auction will commence at 18.30.

If you cannot attend the event, you should submit your commission bid by 14 September to bids@autismguernsey.org.gg, and clearly state the lot number and goat you are bidding on.
The event will also host a raffle for the chance to win the Autism Guernsey Goat, a painting by Ryan Dawe, Afternoon Tea at La Barbarie Hotel, a £50 voucher for Christies Brasserie, a £50 voucher for the spa at the OGH Hotel and a bottle of champagne.
Tickets for the raffle will be £5.
