Give a Tree for Christmas campaign

Local charity Guernsey Trees for Life has launched its annual ‘Give a Tree for Christmas’ campaign.

The charity has partnered with two local garden companies to encourage shoppers to buy a gift of a tree for someone this Christmas.

Colin Dodd, Committee Member said: “ A tree is a wonderful living present to give at Christmas time. We want to encourage as many people as possible on island to buy a tree as a gift this year and have partnered with Guernsey Gardens Ltd and Paulo's Plant Centre, who are both giving a generous discount on all trees purchased. To claim a discount, customers must make reference to the Guernsey Trees for Life campaign ‘Give a Tree for Christmas’ .”

Guernsey Trees for Life works to encourage the protection, preservation and planting of trees, especially natives, throughout the Bailiwick of Guernsey and the charity dedicates its efforts to achieving its aims through a series of Initiatives which include planting trees and delivering programmes of education and advice.

Mr Dodd added that ‘Give a Tree for Christmas’ isn’t just an original gift idea, but it also helps our environment and the replenishment of our island tree stocks.
