Two Guernsey flags - one of them believed to be handmade - were allegedly stolen from outside properties in St Peter Port sometime during Liberation Day or the following morning.
Guernsey Police say both flags had been flying outside separate properties in Victoria Road when they were last seen.
Both were put up as part of the Liberation Day commemorations and celebrations- but both went missing sometime between the morning of Saturday 9 May and midday on Sunday 10 May.
One of the flags had been attached to a pole to the front of the property while the other had been tied to railings before it disappeared.
