Deputy Neil Inder is going to get his wish after he suggested a Scrutiny panel do a deep dive into the ferry tender situation.
The Scrutiny Management Committee has called a public hearing with the Committee for Economic Development - saying it will focus on the recent tender process.
Scrutuny has summoned ED to the hearing, next Monday, 9 December, between 10:00 and 12:00 at the Castel Douzaine Room.
The Scrutiny panel will include Deputy Yvonne Burford (Chair), Deputy Simon Fairclough and Deputy Gavin St Pier.
We don't yet know who will represent ED but Deputy Inder is most likely to be present as the President of the Committee.

During the most recent States meeting, Deputy Inder faced a barrage of questions about the ferry tender situation.
While he seemed happy to answer them all he was time limited by States rules meaning in-depth answers could not be given in that setting.
He suggested it was something Scrutiny should pick up so the matters could be discussed in detail.
Scrutiny has now done that, with Deputy Buford saying next Monday's hearing will examine how the tender process worked, why Guernsey has chosen Brittany Ferries as our contractor, and why Jersey is still deliberating between Brittany Ferries and DFDS.
“This hearing with the Committee for Economic Development will focus primarily on the formal tender process for passenger and freight services which was undertaken jointly with Jersey and the subsequent decision made," she said.
"This is a matter of significance to all islanders, both financially and because of our dependency on freight services and travel to the UK, Jersey and France. I welcome this opportunity to examine this issue in more detail.”
Scrutiny hearings are a formal parliamentary proceeding meaning members of the public can attend in person to watch but can't ask questions.
The hearings are streamed on YouTube too.
