An Aurigny Dornier had to divert to Guernsey mid-flight after its pilot reported a hydraulics failure.
The plane was flying from Southampton to Alderney this afternoon when the incident happened.
It forced a 45minute closure of the Guernsey Airport runway while the matter was dealt with.
A spokesperson for Guernsey Ports said: "The runway at Guernsey Airport was closed for around 45 minutes this afternoon after an Aurigny Dornier aircraft reported a hydraulics failure.
"The flight, which took off from Southampton Airport bound for Alderney, reported an issue at 3.46pm.
"It was diverted to Guernsey, and landed safely at 3.58pm. There were no injuries to any passengers or crew.
"The runway reopened at 4.27pm."

A spokesperson for Aurigny Customer Services also confirmed the incident saying it has caused "delays to a small number of our services this afternoon".
The airline said "Flight GR506 from Southampton to Alderney has diverted to Guernsey.
"Our Operations teams are currently making arrangements to resume our Dornier operated services, as quickly as possible. More information will be provided when it is available."
