Dog attack at Fairy Ring

Monday 11 March 2019

A dog was attacked by another during an afternoon walk at a popular area frequented by many families.

It happened on Saturday at the Fairy Ring at Pleinmont.

Guernsey Police said;

"During the early afternoon of Saturday 9 March 2019 in the area of the Fairy Ring, Pleinmont, a dog sustained injuries following an attack from another dog."

Witnesses are asked to contact Guernsey Police, by calling PC 178 Osborne at Police Headquarters on 725111, or CrimesStoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.

This is not the first dog attack Guernsey Police have investigated in recent months, with one incident involving a child - where the animal was immediately put to sleep after the owner consulted a vet.

Elsewhere, dogs have been involved in incidents on L'ancresse Common and Fort Road.
