Data analysis apprenticeships launched

Saturday 18 July 2020

Digital Greenhouse has partnered with Avado Learning to offer new online apprenticeships.

Small and medium sized businesses in any sector looking to develop their teams can apply for the Arch Data Analyst Apprenticeship, offered as part of the SMART Guernsey Economic Development Programme with Agilisys Guernsey.

The 18-month programme is aimed at entry-level data roles, both for new starters and existing employees looking to expand their skills. By the end of the course, participants will have collected, organised and studied data while learning to understand data structures, database systems and a range of important analysis techniques.

“As we emerge from what could be the strangest crisis that the world has seen in living history, we have all seen the accelerated importance of digital skills across business, community and our everyday lives,” said Economic Development Vice-President Andrea Dudley-Owen.

“To be able to offer a digital apprenticeship to local businesses, at a time where they need to equip employees with future skills in what could be a difficult economic environment as a result of the pandemic, is imperative to the island’s revive and thrive recovery approach.”
