A fault with a ferry's engine has led Condor to cancel its high-speed sailings between Guernsey, Jersey and Poole tomorrow.
A spokesperson for the ferry operator explained that a mechanical fault with one of the Condor Liberation's three engines plus forecast high-speed winds would together make it unsafe for the vessel to dock.
A decision was taken earlier to refund or transfer passengers due to travel between the Channel Islands and Poole tomorrow onto an alternative sailing, such as Wednesday's Commodore Clipper morning sailing, if there was space available.
The fast ferry service affected is the 06:30 departure from Poole, which was due to arrive in Guernsey at 09:30 before continuing to Jersey at 10:00.
Passengers were being informed by email, text message and via the company's customer contact centre.
In the interim, the company assured passengers their team are working hard to repair the mechanical failing.
"Condor's engineers and the engine manufacturer continue to take apart, repair and reassemble the engine as soon as possible," Condor said in a statement.
