Two Guernsey based charities will benefit from the effort put in by people signing up for a special fitness challenge later this month.
This is Epic and the Guernsey Cheshire Home are the chosen ones as Brandi Attewell, Kirsty Bell, Paula Kontelj and Phil Midgely look set to raise funds and energy levels on September 26.
The four instructors will jointly be holding a Strong by Zumba class at St Sampson’s High School between 18:00 and 19:00 on National Fitness Day.
Mrs Attewell, of B Creative, said SBZ is not a Zumba class so no one should be put off because they don't like dancing.

"Since I started teaching Strong in October 2016 I’ve been thrilled by how popular it’s become. It’s definitely not a dance class, so it’s nothing like regular Zumba at all. It’s music-led interval training that’s a great complement to any sport, be it running, triathlon or team games such as rugby, football and basketball."
She said it’s been scientifically proven that the number one motivator in fitness is music, which will also make a workout more enjoyable, while combining cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility. Mrs Attewell said it "makes you work harder, dig deeper and push yourself further, all whilst having fun."
Mrs Attewell and the three other instructors want 100 people to take part on 26 September, with all money raised going to the Guernsey Cheshire Home and This Is EPIC. She said it would be the perfect opportunity for groups of friends and work colleagues to participate together.
"We wanted to get involved with National Fitness Day this year and what better way than helping to raise money for two great charities? We recently held a session for the Guernsey Basketball team who thoroughly enjoyed it, so we thought we’d open it up to everyone who’s up for challenging themselves to “Get Stronger”.
"I promise you it’s strangely addictive and there are some unique variations to your usual burpees, press ups and lunges. It’s for everyone, not just fitness enthusiasts!"

EPIC Challenges has organised a number of events over the past few years which have raised money for This is Epic as well as other charities, including raising tens of thousands of pounds in 2018.
This is Epic enables village savings schemes in developing counties and the Epic Challenge founders said they've realised that when you combine purpose and challenge yourself to be the best, the outcome is often a positive change in your life and positive change in the lives of others.
Philip Smith and Warren Mauger have personally undertaken a number of extreme challenges, while also organising a number of public participation events.
Mr Mauger said, "we were delighted when Brandi offered to show us what Strong by Zumba is all about as, through events like My EPIC Week, we’ve encouraged people to try different sports and activities. Keeping fit is easier when you find something you really enjoy and it’s even better if you can do it with friends. This is a great opportunity to have a go at something new whilst raising money for two charities that are close to our hearts."
