CI Lottery winning numbers revealed

Christmas Lottery revenues are slightly down on last years after ticket prices returned to £2 – but sales in Guernsey have increased by 40% compared to 2019.

Lottery Manager Jon Taylor said the increased participation was a positive sign.

“The structure of the draw reflects the feedback that we received,” he said. “In a survey, more than 80% of respondents felt that the ticket price should be reduced from £3, and that we should retain as many prizes as possible."

“That is what we have done, and the benefit of that is seen in the increase in ticket sales across the islands. Unfortunately, the increase in Jersey was not as high as anticipated, but that was perhaps to be expected given the ongoing situation there."

“But overall, we have a lot more islanders taking part in the lottery than in recent years.”

While revenues are still slightly down, it is hoped that the increase in participation is something that can be ‘built on’ in future years. The grand prize for this year totalled £696,740, after 1.5 million ticket sales.

The top two winning numbers are:

First Prize: £696,740 - 552971

Second Prize: £50,000 - 2057515

All proceeds from the draw will help support worthy causes in the Bailiwick, and are distributed through the Social Investment Fund. Some of these proceeds will be used to fund a new grants scheme for charities in the Channel Islands.
