CareWatch seeks volunteers

Sunday 19 February 2023

A body that gives the community a voice on health services needs volunteers.

CareWatch liaises with Health and Social Care and other providers, with its panel meeting monthly.

“Since our inception in 2017, CareWatch has considered a wide range of subjects," said interim chairman David Le Poidevin.

"Recently we published the Primary Care Survey which received responses from a wide range of individuals and enabled us to provide a clear image of how islanders feel about primary care services. It is now essential that we seek more interested and knowledgeable community members to help ensure the panel continues to fulfil its mandate.

"CareWatch is designed to ensure diverse patient perspectives are heard and included throughout HSC’s transformation programme. CareWatch is keen to receive applications both from individual members of the public and individuals representing relevant organisations. For panel members, no previous experience is required, but we ask that applicants should be able to demonstrate an interest in health or social care matters."

The group also needs a secretary, who should have relevant experience.

Those interested should contact CareWatch by emailing contact@carewatch.org.gg, or writing to: C/O The Chairman, CareWatch, Esplanade House, 29 Glategny Esplanade, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 1WR.

For further information go to https://carewatch.org.gg.

Applications close on 10 March.
