CT Plus has announced that its bus service will go completely cashless from the 1 July.
The decision comes two years after contactless cards were first accepted on CT Plus services, following a change suggested by Traffic & Highway services.
It means that cash will no longer be accepted on Guernsey buses, with Puffin Cards, contactless cards, and concession/student cards the only ways to get a ticket.
Despite this, passengers who want to buy a pay-as-you-go puffinpass with cash can still do so by visiting the Town Terminus Shop.
To help the transition, people with mobility issues who do not have contactless payment options to hand, and can’t visit the terminus shop, can call 700456 for help.
