Aurigny has confirmed it will be flying to and from Gatwick from this afternoon, now the airport is fully operational again, after the drone incident.
Although the airport reopened its runway earlier, Aurigny opted to reroute its earlier Gatwick services through Southampton instead to give passengers a better chance of getting to where they needed to be.
But from lunchtime onwards, the Gatwick services will be flying to and from the London hub airport as scheduled, starting with the GR606 which was due to leave Guernsey at 14:50.
All further flights today are also expected to fly to and from Gatwick as scheduled and passengers should check in on time, although the airline does warn that, "due to the amount of disruption caused some customers may still experience delays as air traffic control manage the situation."
Aurigny also wanted to "thank Southampton airport and all the staff there who have helped so many of our customers get to their destinations. We would also like to thank our staff for their work and thank our customers for their patience and support during this event."

Aurigny had diverted its Gatwick services to and from Southampton yesterday, to try and manage the local impact as Gatwick stayed closed all day, and by late afternoon yesterday Aurigny had already made the decision to keep using Southampton in lieu of Gatwick this morning too.
For passengers booked to fly between Guernsey and Gatwick this morning they were automatically transferred to a Southampton service, with the Jet being used where possible instead of a smaller ATR which usually flies the Southampton routes.
Aurigny said at the time that it had decided to plan ahead to re-route the earlier Friday services.
"We understand the importance of getting our customers to their planned destinations, especially at this time of year, and have been operating our Gatwick service to Southampton all day.
"Even if the airport reopens by Friday morning, we anticipate that there will be ongoing widespread disruption and delays. Therefore, we have made an early decision to operate the first three Gatwick rotations for tomorrow (Friday 21 December) to and from Southampton instead."
As it turned out, Gatwick's runway had reopened by Friday morning, with Aurigny issuing an updated statement at 07:00, confirming that the morning flights would be rerouted still through Southampton. The island's Gatwick services resumed at lunchtime.
