Applications open for school uniform grants

Parents and carers can now apply for grants to pay for their children's school uniform.

School uniform grants are issued annually by Employment & Social Security and aim to provide all children with a basic school uniform.

The amount granted is determined by the annual household income and allowed expenses, so not all applications
will be eligible for a full uniform grant.

Those who are not on Income Support will have to provide proof of income, rent and interest on loans.

Applications must be submitted by Monday 17 August to be eligible to secure uniform grants for the autumn term. however, applications can be made up until the Easter holidays next year.

More information, as well as the online form, can be found at www.gov.gg/schooluniformgrant.
