Both Elizabeth and Ladies' College have recorded 100% pass rates in their students’ A Level results, following a challenging year of Virtual School and Teacher Assessed Grades (TAG).

20% of the grades at Elizabeth College were A*, and 41.4% were A* or A. The Ladies' College students also excelled, with 68.6% A* or A.

The Principal of Elizabeth College has celebrated the results as a testament to the hard work and perseverance of both the students and the teachers.

“We are immensely proud of all the work and achievements of our students, especially after another year disrupted by the pandemic,” said Jenny Palmer.

“Our teachers have worked tirelessly through Virtual School and on return, meeting the huge challenge of the TAGs.”

Many students from both Colleges will now be taking their next step into either employment or further education.

Six students from Ladies College will be starting at Durham University, and one from Elizabeth College will be heading to Oxford to continue his studies.

“We hope that our students are pleased with their results, and it helps them to take the next step to work, study, or take to time out to reflect on what is the right choice for them,” said a LC spokesperson.

“We are incredibly proud of our rounded, grounded Upper Sixth students who have proved themselves to be resilient, adaptable and fun,” they said.

The Colleges join the Grammar School Sixth Form Centre in their 100% A Level pass rate.
