Guernsey's emergency ambulance service received a call out nearly every hour of the day yesterday, including a shout from Sark to pick up an injured patient.
The Flying Christine III was despatched yesterday (Thursday) afternoon after the Sark doctor called for help.
The St John Marine Ambulance paramedic crew was met by the Sark ambulance and transferred the patient to the boat, to bring them back to St Peter Port, and on to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
A further 21 emergency calls were received yesterday, meaning the Emergency Ambulance Service had to call in additional off-duty staff to help.
Three came in to work in Guernsey, along with the volunteer boat crew of the Flying Christine III who attended to the Sark incident.
