Microsoft has confirmed the UK pricing for its latest Surface Pro and Laptop, both of which are due to go on sale later this month.
The new Surface Pro 6 – Microsoft’s latest version of its tablet-laptop hybrid computer – will start at £749, while the new Surface Laptop 2 will start at £979.
The new laptop houses the latest eighth generation Intel Quad Core processor and Microsoft says it can provide up to 14.5 hours of battery life on a single charge.
The latest Surface Pro meanwhile is 67% faster than its previous generation device the tech giant says, and like the Laptop will be available in a new matte black finish.
Both devices will look to challenge Apple’s iPad Pro tablets and MacBook line of computers when they launch on October 16.
In comparison, a 13-inch MacBook Air starts at £949, while the 10.5-inch iPad Pro starts at £619.
During an event in New York, Microsoft also announced a new Surface Studio desktop computer and the wireless, noise-cancelling Surface Headphones.
UK release dates are yet to be confirmed for both, but the new headphones are set to arrive before the end of the year.
