The States of Guernsey are looking for a Supervising Social Worker to join their team at Children and Family Community Services.
The role will entail operating as a Supervising Social Worker in the provision of an effective Family Placement Service undertaking the recruitment, assessment, review, training, supervision and support of a range of carers providing placements for Looked after Children and children with disability including foster carers, specialist foster carers, short break carers for children with disability, kinship carers and prospective adopters. The Service holds key responsibility for the Permanency Planning process for children and young people and adoption applications to the Court. The Family Placement Service is currently developing Parent and Child placements and a Supported Lodgings Scheme as additional service responsibilities.
The Supervising Social Worker will report to the Team Manager or Deputy Manager, Family Placement Service.
