Grade: - Band 6 £31,531 - £38,055 per annum BAR £39,299 - £42,715 per annum




The States of Guernsey is seeking to appoint a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse for Adult Community Services to work in the Community Rapid Response and Reablement Team.. This post will be full-time, 37.5 hours per week, the service currently runs 8.30 - 20.30 daily.

The successful candidate must have First Level Registration, a minimum of two years post registration experience of which one year must be at Band 5 in an appropriate clinical environment, a current and valid driving license and management and leadership training will be desirable.

You will be responsible for overseeing appropriate standards of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation programmes of care delivered to a group of patients/clients on the Rapid Response and Reablement caseload within the community setting. You will also act as a leader, deputising for the Team Leader in their absence, advisor and role model to less experienced nurses, ensuring appropriate care is implemented and maintained.

Should the successful applicant not meet the requirements sufficiently he/she may be appointed at a lower grade than stated. The successful applicant would then have the opportunity to progress to the grade advertised once the necessary skills and knowledge have been developed and they have demonstrated the ability to undertake the duties at the higher level.
