Checkers Xpress is SandpiperCI's wholly owned convenience and forecourt retailer with 7 stores across the Channel Islands.
We are now recruiting for a Sales Assistant to join our dedicated team. As a Sales Assistant, you will strive for success at the heart of our operation. Whether you're dealing with the stock, answering questions from our loyal customers, or simply sweeping the front of store, you will be relentless in everything that you do!
We strive to build a strong and competent team, whilst also supporting and creating a fun and dynamic work environment. Ultimately, we want to support you in your career aspirations, in and outside of Sandpiper.
Key Responsibilities
As a Sales Assistant, the 3 key areas you will work in are:
- Customer Service: Ensuring that all customers are greeted and attended to. That any questions, queries or concerns are dealt with in a timely and polite manner.
- Till/Cashier work: Taking cash and/or card payments and making sure our customers can leave the shop in an efficient manner.
- Working the stock: This will include stacking the shelves, rotating stock so ensure older produce is used first, helping with the deliveries and all other aspects of organising and storing the back stock in a clean and tidy manner.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
We welcome people from all walks of life: whether you're a seasoned Sales Assistant or this is your first job out of college. We only ask that you turn up, on time, with a positive attitude to learning and give us your best!
