Grade: Main Pay Scale/Upper Pay Scale- 30,249 - 43,435 / 45,872 - 48,791 per annum

Amherst Primary Schoolarelooking to appoint as soon as possiblea well-qualified and enthusiastic teacher. The person appointed will be required to teachin Key Stage2 and will need to demonstrate a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning and will be expected to make a full contribution to the life of the School.

This post is part-time andwill focus on delivering Literacy. The successful candidate will have up to date knowledge of reading interventions and writing strategies. They will have a clear understanding of how to develop childrens Reading and Writing skills through inspirational teaching.

Successful candidates will be expected to excite and challenge learners to make rapid progress and be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching and learning.

  • Confirmation of required qualifications / registrations
  • Possession of a valid Right to Work document

Should the successful applicant not meet the requirements sufficiently he/she may be appointed at a lower grade than stated. The successful applicant would then have the opportunity to progress to the grade advertised once the necessary skills and knowledge have been developed and the postholder has demonstrated the ability to undertake the duties at the higher level.
