Law Officers of the Crown
Grade: - EGIII £42,206 - £44,969 or EGIV £46,350 - £48,965 BAR EGV £50,325 - £53,166 per annum
The States of Guernsey are looking for a Paralegal to the Criminal Prosecution Team on a temporary basis until the end of December 2023.
This role will entail providing paralegal and high level administrative support to the Prosecution Team in relation to all criminal cases, but particularly in relation to Royal Court and Court of Appeal matters. The post involves the maintenance and monitoring of central team records, file and bundle preparation, liaising with the Courts, Law Enforcement, defence counsel and other criminal justice system agencies, including drafting correspondence and Court applications.
The post holder will report to the Director of Criminal Prosecutions and as appropriate to the Law Officers, and will regularly liaise with all professional and support staff in Chambers and with Advocates in private practice, and senior staff in other States Committees.

Should the successful applicant not meet the requirements sufficiently he/she may be appointed at a lower grade than stated. The successful applicant would then have the opportunity to progress to the grade advertised once the necessary skills and knowledge have been developed and they have demonstrated the ability to undertake the duties at the higher level.
