Grade: Learning Support Assistant Level 1 - £16,910 - £19,369 BAR £21,213 - £23,057 BAR £25,516 - £27,166 per annum Plus the SEN Allowance payment of £1,333 per annum

The States of Guernsey are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join their team at La Mare de Carteret Primary School working in the POD from 4.11.2019 to 31.8.2020.

The Learning Support Assistant will work under the direction of the POD teacher and will support and facilitate young people’s learning and development with the aim to reintegrate them into mainstream provision.

 

This is a full time position working 32.5 hours a week term time only. Working hours to be negotiated with the Headteacher.

  • Confirmation of required qualifications / registrations
  • Possession of a valid Employment Permit

 

Should the successful applicant not meet the requirements sufficiently he/she may be appointed at a lower grade than stated. The successful applicant would then have the opportunity to progress to the grade advertised once the necessary skills and knowledge have been developed and they have demonstrated the ability to undertake the duties at the higher level.
