Full Description
Guernsey Post are looking to recruit an experienced, hardworking individual to join our team.
The successful candidate will
be responsible for managing and coordinating the repair, servicing, and maintenance of a fleet of c.120 vehicles.
You will have previous
management experience in a similar role and will be responsible for managing
the day to day workload of the Garage Mechanic, providing hands on support in
peak periods.
The role will also
involve managing and coordinating the annual fleet replacement program, in line
with peak period and operational requirements.
You will be responsible
for producing and managing the departmental budget, with a strong focus on cost
management and optimum use of the vehicle fleet.
You will have
responsibility for the review and management of external supplier contracts and
possess excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The successful candidate
will also ensure all working practices remain in line with health and safety
policies and procedures.
The ideal candidate for
this role will be able to demonstrate: -
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills
- Strong IT literacy
- Previous management experience
- Attention to detail
- Good communication and negotiating skills
- Previous experience of working with electric and diesel vehicles
- Working in a team environment
Hours of work: 30 hours per
week, to be worked Monday to Friday
