The Guernsey Aero Club will be holding its annual Wings and Wheels Open Day on Sunday 4th September. This will be open to the public from 10.00am to 4.00pm.

Car parking at £1 per car will be at the Forest and Le Rondin Schools only a short walk away.

Entry at only £1 per person, This has proved very popular for families as it not only provides a large number of unusual Classic, and Super cars and a selection of motor bikes to view but also provides opportunity for airside access to the hangar and apron to view a variety of general aviation aircraft, corporate aircraft an Eclipse jet, a Robinson helicopter, the Channel Island Air Search Islander and the popular Junior Joey.

The Guernsey Model Club will be present with a variety of aircraft including some taxing demonstrations on the apron.

Flights will be available at the special rate on the day of £125.00 in the Piper Warrior Aircraft with Guernsey Flying Training Ltd. These are usually sold out early and can be pre-booked.

Refreshments will be available in and around the Club including Teas, Coffees and a huge selection of cakes. Bacon rolls and the popular lunchtime BarBQ. Ice-cream’s also available all day.

The first floor Club room and large balcony provides excellent views across and down the length of the runway and taxiways, when many aircraft movements can be enjoyed.

On the day there will also be a raffle with some special prizes to be one The event is designed for families giving opportunities’ not normally available to them.
