Last week the GSPCA attended what proved to be a record-breaking West Show for the animal charity's fundraising efforts.
For the last 10 years the GSPCA hasn’t missed a show at L’Eree and this year we raised the most we have ever achieved.
The stall which was run by GSPCA team members Steve Byrne, Lorna Chadwick Suzy Rose, Jo Byrne and Joseph Fox over the two days managed to raise an incredible £2,300.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Last week the GSPCA had an extremely busy two days at the West Show.”
“Over the last 10 years we haven’t missed an event and this year we raised for us a record breaking £2,300.”
“From GSPCA goods on sale to our fun tombola games, not only did we raise lots of funds, we talked to those needing pet advice, asking about boarding, work, volunteering, what animals we have in need of homes and much more.”
“We also got to see lots of the dogs pop by that have been adopted from the Shelter and catch up with lots of our amazing supporters.”
“A huge thanks to the fantastic team that helped and especially to Lorna, Suzy, my wife Jo, son Joseph and 4 year old Dylan who also did a little to help.”
“A special thanks to those that put on the West Show and all that supported us.”
“This week we are at the North Show and on the 12th September we have our Animal Welfare Seafront Sunday and anyone wanting to help at our events please call 257261 or email admin@gspca.org.gg .”
“Thanks again and we hope to see you at the North Show.”
