MEDIA RELEASE: The views expressed in this article are those of the author and not Bailiwick Express, and the text is reproduced exactly as supplied to us

Household waste and recycling collections will be unaffected by the bank holiday this Friday.

Thursday night collections will go ahead as normal this week, despite coinciding with the May Day bank holiday.

The Household Waste and Recycling Centre and the temporary green waste facility at Longue Hougue will be closed on Bank Holiday Friday and Liberation Day, as will the Green Waste site at Chouet headland. All three sites will be back open as normal on Sunday 10 May from 8am – noon.

Any households who wish to know which materials to put out on which night can go with www.gov.gg/mybinnight.

Operating hours for all public waste sites can be found at www.gov.gg/wasteopeningtimes.
