The organisers are pleased to announce that the 2020 Tennerfest will be going ahead as normal in October.

Hamilton Brooke who created, and have been running the Tennerfest for 22 years, made the decision based on the positive outlook for the islands and the feedback they’d had from the hospitality industry and the public.

Hamilton Brooke Managing Director, Efrem Cockett said, "We have delayed organising the event until we had an idea of the timescales involved in restaurants getting back to normal again. Now that is on the horizon across the islands, we are going to push ahead.

He added, "There are two sides to the Tennerfest, one, of course, is to bring in extra revenue to the hospitality industry and the other is as an event that people use to get out more with friends and family. There is no doubt that we need both in bucketloads this year and, with so many events having been cancelled, we felt that it was important to give people something to look forward to.

Our feedback from restaurateurs is that by October they should be operating as normal and that the anticipated ‘bounce back’ and summer business will have settled down meaning they will be in need of the uplift that the promotion brings.

We really hope that the dining public will respond and get behind Tennerfest even more than usual this year, our local restaurants, hotels, cafes and bars need us and we want everyone to come together to support them."

Tennerfest registration begins in earnest next week and all restaurants will be contacted soon thereafter.
