GSPCA has shown some staff from the Emergency Department around the animal shelter, describing the visit from the key workers as a "real privilege".

GSPCA Manager Steve Byrne greeted the 10 visitors just after lunch on a sunny afternoon last week.

"We have all been in awe of our Health Service, especially in the last year and a half and what was even more caring of them was last Friday they held a cake sale and raised an awesome £267.92 to help the many animals and work of the GSPCA," said Mr Byrne.

“It was a real privilege to show 10 of our amazing A&E Doctors and Nurses around the GSPCA. They work incredibly hard and long hours and they all got the chance to see the 24/7 work we carry out here at the GSPCA."
