Celebrating their 8th birthday and LGBT History Month, charity Liberate are excited to be holding the ‘Love is Love Soireé’ for the second year running. After an amazing turn out last year, this year’s event will be taking place at St Pierre Park Hotel, on the evening of the 12th February and is the perfect way to celebrate the Valentines weekend with friends or a partner.

A night at the Moulin Rouge is promised where you can be yourself and you are encouraged to ‘dress to express’! The action-packed night will include Liberate’s trademark outrageous entertainment which will be hosted by local drag queen superstar Magenta, welcome drinks kindly supplied and sponsored by Villa Saletta, a gourmet three-course meal, along with some fundraising games where guests can win an overnight stay at the hotel amongst other things.

The fabulous Ivy Page will be flying in from the UK to join the event with a unique Moulin Rouge themed set. Ivy made her first national appearance on the ITV show, ‘The Voice’ making it onto the team of Olly Murs. Ivy is also known for her cabaret, burlesque, and comedy performances throughout the UK and is one of the most popular performances at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, she also performed at Channel Islands Pride in Guernsey in 2020.

Love is Love Soiree event coordinator Becky Le Cras told us “I love helping Liberate with events and the soiree brings together different elements of the LGBTQ+ community and culture. This is an evening where people can express themselves without fear of judgement. This event truly represents that love really is love. We hope this event will raise much needed funds so Liberate can continue all the work they do to break down the barriers that still exist for so many people in the LGBTQ+ community today.” She added that “The night will be a magnificent, opulent, tremendous, stupendous, bedazzlement, a sensual ravishment. It will be flamboyantly spectacular! Come and join us!”

Limited Early Bird tickets are on sale now at £49, all the events details and ticket links can be found on the Liberate website www.liberate.gg/book/ or on the events page of the Liberate.CI Facebook page.
