The next 'Let's Take Time to Talk' drop-in will be held tomorrow, giving islanders an opportunity to share their views ahead of the Tax Review debate.

It takes place from 10 to 12 midday on Saturday 18 September at Beau Sejour.

With the debate due to take place at the end of September, this is a chance for members of the public to speak with senior politicians about this, or any other, topic in an informal setting.

At the drop-in on Saturday, six senior States Members will be available for Islanders to speak with. They will include all five members of the Policy & Resources Committee - President Deputy Peter Ferbrache, Vice-President Deputy Heidi Soulsby, and Committee members Deputy Mark Helyar, Deputy David Mahoney and Deputy Jonathan Le Tocq - as well as Deputy Lindsay de Sausmarez, who is both President of the Committee for the Environment & Infrastructure and Vice-President of the Committee for Employment & Social Security.

Deputy Heidi Soulsby said: We know the Tax Review is a hot topic at the moment for some people, so having this drop-in less than two weeks before the debate gives the public a perfect opportunity to engage with us.

“We also recognise that not everyone is interested in the Tax Review. So, whatever it is you’d like to raise with us, I’d encourage you to come to Beau Sejour on Saturday. We live in a world where a lot of things are said and done on social media, but here is an opportunity to speak directly, face-to-face with key decision makers at the heart of government. Why not come and speak to us about what matters to you?”
