Business2Business is a one day show taking place in the David Ferguson Hall at Beau Sejour in September. Thirty local businesses will be present throughout the day to showcase their products and services to their commercial peers. Small businesses are a major sector of the Guernsey economy and this event will attract a diverse selection of these companies who are looking to increase awareness and sales.

A series of talks and panel discussions  focusing on current hot topics such as Social media, Strategic marketing and Logistics and planning, will be held throughout the day.

Guernsey’s entire business community will be invited to attend to meet the exhibitor companies and listen to or take part in the workshops and talks.

Jason Moriarty, the Commerce and Employment Department’s Chief Officer, said, 'An event like B2B can only be good for commerce in the island. We' encourage any initiative that will act as a catalyst for local businesses to interact with each other and potentially create new commercial opportunities across many sectors.'

Local business organisations including CGI and StartUp Guernsey  are supporting the event.

Larry Granger, Managing Director of CGI, said, 'We're delighted to support any initiative which encourages new trade between businesses in the island, especially when it focuses on the small and medium size operators.'

‘This event is an ideal vehicle for fledgling businesses to make new contacts and potential sales leads. It’s also an opportunity to carry out some market research among the visitors to the show,’ said Startup Guernsey’s  Business Advisor Sasha Kazantseva.

B2B is staged by event management company Effective Communications, organisers of the Guernsey Press Homelife Show,  and follows a successful launch in Jersey last year.  Event director Julie Settle said, '25 Jersey companies from a comprehensive range of sectors including marketing agencies, cleaning companies, recruitment, office services and hotel groups  took part in our first event in St Helier last April.  Many of them have already signed up for the follow on event in June.' One Jersey exhibitor said  'The benefit for us in taking part last year was having the opportunity to meet face to face with new clients and the interaction between fellow exhibitors. We are certainly on board for the forthcoming show'.

B2B takes place on Wednesday 17 September at Beau Sejour.  For more information or to book a stand contact Julie Settle on 07797 740913 email Julie@ec-jersey.com or Marguerite  Talmage on 07911 719081 email marguerite@ec-jersey.com
