This week, at the GSPCA the team got together for a little surprise for a very special birthday.
As Yvonne Chauvel is off for a couple of days the GSPCA team with cards and goodies surprise Yvonne Chauvel who celebrated a very special birthday.
Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager said “Yvonne is the longest serving team member at the GSPCA of 27 years and today celebrates a very special birthday, and as she is off yesterday we got together to surprise her.”
“From the team of staff to the committee we surprised Yvonne with cards, flowers, chocolates and many more gifts.”
"Yvonne was extremely emtional and she really loved her surprise."
“Yvonne is a true star for the GSPCA and in her time been up for international animal welfare awards as a finalist to running a Junior GSPCA in the 90’s, helping tens of thousands of animals to teaching many how to care for animals rom washing oiled birds to tube feeding seal pups.”
“Despite being well past an age many would have retired Yvonne continues to work full time often being the first to arrive and often the last to leave.”
“Yvonne’s passion for the GSPCA and caring for the many animals, directing the team as a Supervisor is incredible and we all love her dearly and hope she has a wonderful day.”
“From all at the GSPCA a very Happy Birthday and we all look forward Yvonne helping celebrate the GSPCA’s 150th year from next February.”
