GSPCA raising funds for Ruby the cat

MEDIA RELEASE: The views expressed in this article are those of the author and not Bailiwick Express, and the text is reproduced exactly as supplied to us

Ruby a lovely black and white cat arrived at the GSPCA earlier this year.

She had a number of health issues on arrival and sadly as a stray no owner was found.

Many of the health issues are much better but her ears have caused her constant problems and it now transpires that due to a growth she will need an operation to remove the lump and an ear canal.

Please donate to Rubys care and operation by going to https://giving.gg/donate/event/9161/Donate-to-Ruby-s-ear-canal-operation-at-the-GSPCA

Anna Paint Senior Animal Care Assistant said “Ruby is so lovely and has been through a lot.”

“When she arrived from ticks to an infection she had many issues.”

“Her ears have been a real issue and it seems she now has a growth that needs to be removed as well as the whole ear canal.”

“The operation and care will be around £1200 and any donations would be really appreciated.”

Steve Byrne GSPCA Manager “Sadly every year we help 1000’s of sick and inured animals and many unclaimed strays.”

“Ruby was found with a number of health issues and no owner came forward so we have been caring for and treating her and she now needs a life saving operation without her condition could get worse.”

“Any support towards her care and the other animals at the GSPCA is always hugely appreciated and we couldn’t do so much without the huge support we receive.”

“With the operation Ruby will hopefully improve and be able to find a home and we have many other cats and animals in need.” “To donate to Ruby’s operation and care please go to https://giving.gg/donate/event/9161/Donate-to-Ruby-s-ear-canal-operation-at-the-GSPCA by calling 01481 257261, by post to GSPCA, Rue des Truchots, St Andrews, Guernsey GY6 8UD or pop into the Shelter.”
