AO Hall’s group partner Paul Buckle has again been asked to speak at this year’s popular and highly respected, Legal Week’s Trust & Estate Litigation Forum in Provence. He is one of only four people who have spoken at every such event since its inception in 2007.

Mr Buckle is one of 19 legal professionals to be named as a speaker at the Forum which will be held from 13th – 15th March. This year’s conference is called The new frontiers: Pathfinders in trust litigation.

‘AO Hall has been a sponsor of the Trust & Estates Litigation Forum for three years and in that time, the forum’s reputation as one of the top trust conferences has continued to grow. It is attended by the industry’s most experienced and senior practitioners and the calibre of this year’s speakers is exceptional,’ said AO Hall partner Alison Ozanne.

‘We are delighted that as well as being one of the sponsors that AO Hall is included within the speaker list. It is fantastic to see our name alongside some of the industry’s leading practices.’

Mr Buckle will lead an interactive focus group and revisit the controversial case of Sinclair Investments (UK) and Versailles Trade Finance which is concerned with unauthorised profits made by fiduciaries, and which has been the subject of much discussion in Jersey.

Other topics to be covered during the conference include forfeiture and no-contest clauses, insolvent trusts, the future of international and domestic inheritance disputes and protecting clients once litigation has begun.

‘This conference provides us with an opportunity to promote not only AO Hall’s expertise within the trust arena but also Guernsey’s reputation as a leading legal centre. AO Hall is one of three Guernsey firms to be represented at the conference, which is testament to the skills and experience found in the local industry,’ said Mr Buckle.
