Waves to starting flying scenic and tour-like routes

Tuesday 22 May 2018

Waves is set to start scenic flight routes this summer, in a bid to offer a new unique product as an airline.

The company, which already runs an inter-island air route, is collaborating with new tour-operator, Tour Guernsey, to launch the joint 'fly and drive’ series, aimed at both tourists and locals who would like to see Guernsey from another angle.

Waves Head of PR & Marketing, Emy De La Mare, said: “As a Guernsey born company, we appreciate the importance of supporting tourism and new innovative business models entering the market. Andy Taylor from Tour Guernsey has created a unique sightseeing trip offering clients something personal and different. Together with his online booking platform, we are able to join forces and offer a bespoke experience to both holiday makers and locals alike.

“We are launching the tours with three initial dates available on Thursday 14 June, Thursday 26 July and Saturday 18 August.”

The tour will be three hours long, with approximately 20 minutes in the air on-board Waves and will be personally guided by Tour Guernsey owner operator, Andy Taylor. Seats can be purchased individually or as a group of eight persons.

Tours can be booked via the Tour Guernsey website, www.tourguernsey.com, and for further information on the scenic series of routes, go to www.tourguernsey.com or contact Waves at hello@flywaves.gg,
