Offshore law firm Walkers has appointed Rajah Abusrewil as a Partner in Guernsey's Private Capital and Trusts practice.

Ms Abusrewil brings more than 15 years' experience to the firm, having previously been a Trust and Fiduciary Partner at another law firm based in the island.

She also practised as a Barrister and Attorney in Bermuda before working as a multi-jurisdictional in-house counsel for an international trust company in Cayman.

Ms Abusrewil specialises in advising a wide range of local and international fiduciaries, family offices and UHNWIs on the establishment, administration and termination of trusts, foundations, family offices and related structures.

"I am extremely pleased to welcome Rajah to the team here in Guernsey," Walker's Managing Partner Louise Hall said. "Her appointment demonstrates Walkers' commitment to the Private Capital and Trusts sector as an integral pillar to our overall offering in the Channel Islands and the global firm."

Ms Abusrewil added: "I am delighted to have joined Walkers as a Private Capital and Trusts Partner. It is a real privilege to work with my new colleagues both in Guernsey and the Walkers group worldwide. I am very much looking to this new challenge as we continue to grow and develop the Private Capital and Trusts team and client offering into the island's premier multi-jurisdictional solution for our UHNW and fiduciary clients' needs."
