A car dealership will lead the way at next year's Liberation Day Cavalcade.

TrustFord is the first Hero sponsor for the Liberation Day celebrations in 2020 and they will be joined by many other local businesses in supporting the day.

As part of the sponsorship, a TrustFord vehicle will lead the way ahead of the arrival of the Liberation Day Cavalcade and will arrange a display of vintage Ford Cars.

In 2019 there were many Hero sponsors who really enjoyed participating in the day’s activities and supported many of the events.

TrustFord General Manager Jonathan Bell said: “It’s a great source of pride to continue our support for Liberation Day, especially for its 75th anniversary. Guernsey has a special place in the history of Ford Motor Company so it’s fitting for us to be able to play an important role in the day, clearing the crowds with a TrustFord vehicle ready for the Military Cavalcade to arrive.”

Sport and Culture Head of Marketing and Events Nikki Symons said: “It was a natural fit to have Trust Ford lead the route for the Cavalcade, and we’re so pleased they have made the decision to join us on the day and be in support of Liberation Day 2020.”

The Cavalcade will be departing from L’Ancresse at around 14:00, the vintage cars and floats will join them at La Salarie, before making their way to St Peter Port. The Cavalcade Static display will be at North Beach Car Park for people to view the vehicles until 17:00.
