Butterfield had a night to remember at the Citywealth International Financial Centre Awards.

The independent offshore bank and trust company scooped three titles at the 2020 awards ceremony, picking up the 'Trust Company of the Year - Guernsey' award for the third year in a row.

The company was also named 'Private Bank of the Year - Channel Islands & Isle of Man' and Paul Hodgson won the 'Trustee of the Year - Channel Islands & Isle of Man' award.

Butterfield was runner up for 'Trust Company of the Year - Bahamas, Bermuda & Cayman'.

The bank was also shortlisted for 'Trust Company of the Year - Hong Kong & Singapore' and 'Trust Company of the Year - Switzerland'.

The awards were collected by Mr Hodgson, who is the Deputy Group Head of Trust, along with Guy Quigley Head and Stefano Finetti from the Guernsey branch. The reception took place at the Rosewood Hotel in London last month.

"We are thrilled to receive so many awards at this prestigious event," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Collins. "I am extremely proud of my colleagues. This well-deserved recognition speaks volumes for their hard work and dedication in providing outstanding service to our clients.

"We are also delighted to see Paul Hodgson's industry experience and expertise recognised by his peers. This is a great start to 2020."

The awards, which are now in their ninth year, were established to showcase the excellence of advisers and managers in the private wealth sector.

The winners were selected following a public vote and were judged by a panel of international industry experts from all private wealth sectors across multiple jurisdictions.
