EY has signed up to be the new headline sponsor for the Guernsey Easter Running Festival, for the next three years.

The four-day event, which is entering its 39th year, will be held over the Easter weekend starting on Friday 10 April.

The festival compromises a 5k and 10k road race, the Keith Falla Memorial full course cross country and a 4x 1-mile relay race. There will be a range of prizes available for both individuals and teams taking part in the event.

Ove Svejstrup, Associate Partner at EY in Guernsey, said: “Sponsoring the Easter Running Festival is a natural partnership for us, we are pleased to contribute to the local community and the nature of the event is well-aligned with our internal goal of maintaining health and wellbeing.

“We are also in the process of launching a running programme for our employees. It would be fantastic to see the programme lead to those individuals participating in the festival.”

Also new this year will be a dedicated website created by EY, which will provide a platform for registration and contain event information in one site.

Louise Perrio, Guernsey Athletics Endurance Director, said: “We are really looking forward to working with EY as the Easter Running Festival’s new event sponsors; together we are hoping to raise the profile of the event. The Festival has always been well received by our local running communities, but we would love to see even more people taking part, particularly visiting international athletes.”

A Junior Running Festival will also be held for younger participants aged 17 and under to race throughout the weekend.

For updates and more information on the event follow the Guernsey Easter Running Festival Facebook page or visit the Website here.
