Small businesses invited to focus group meeting

Small local businesses are being asked their views on proposals for new multi-ground discrimination laws.

The Committee for Employment and Social Security, which is due to take the legislation before the States by April, is inviting business owners to a dedicated focus group to discuss the plans.

The focus group aims to provide a better understanding of the proposals and what they mean for companies in Guernsey.

Owners will then have the opportunity to share their thoughts and feedback with the Committee.

The event will take place on Wednesday 18 September at Edward T Wheadon House from 19:00 until 21:00. Anyone interested in getting involved can contact the Discrimination Team on 732546 or email equality@gov.gg by midday on 17 September.

More information on the proposals and a consultation questionnaire can be found on the States of Guernsey website.
